Because there wasn’t going to be enough time between the civil and church ceremony to toast and cut the cake, the bride made a batch of cupcakes for all the guests that wouldn’t be around for dinner (when the cake would be cut).

Cupcakes in the Netherlands can be a real “hit or miss”. The cake is never ever moist enough for my tastes. Her cupcake, however, was moist and oh so good.
