Yackety-yak

These machines bring back such fond memories of shopping at Fred Meyer in Aurburn, getting loose change from Mom, and being unable to decide between a jawbreaker or a ring in one of those plastic bubbles.

I've been feeling extremely nostalgic lately. It's been almost 4-years since I've been back to Washington DC.

Despite all the good happening to me here... the wonderful life Marcel and I have created together. Home is home. And I missing a lot right now.

Talk back!
I used to get the cheesy jewelry. My favourites though were the machines from Chinese malls where I could get keychains of different characters or Sailormoon stickers and cards.

Tess is really into rubber critters from the vending machines. Ick! But, somehow I manage to find to quarters to rub together whenever we go to the grocery store. Good times!

Some fads carry on just below my radar because we have no children. It took some Googling to find out what Jibbitz are.
